Man in Tree

Ed Robinson (Barnstable Tree Service) pruning the Japanese Locust that rises over 120 Pine Lane (6/7/09). Most of yesterday morning, we heard the chainsaw whining and the drop of deadwood, fuzzy with grey-green lichen. We don't know whether the tree is sick or just old: the tips are dying back, and Ed says it might have been hit by a locust bug.

Realizing how much we love the tree, and how much it means to our sense of the house, I decided to start up this blog, so it can be a record of our lives at 120 Pine Lane, what we've been doing to, and with, the house.
